The Project Partners

The multinational BIOPROS consortium was formed in order to comprise all different actors in the problem of gaining knowledge about Short-Rotation-Plantations as a low-cost but high efficient approach for biomass production and biological wastewater/sludge treatment and to make these results accessible to potential SRP end-users and other stakeholders throughout Europe. By the linked expertise the consortium will be able:

• to adequately cover all research aspects regarding SRP (economics, irrigation technology, plant science, wastewater/sludge treatment etc.),
• to accomplish dissemination and exploitation of the gained knowledge developed materials throughout Europe (by the partners training experience and origin),
• to adequately involve the New Member States and Candidate Countries (Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria as a Candidate Country),
• to cover the full range of affected SME sectors (by the number and variety of the participating core SMEs)

The following figure will provide an overview about the complementarity between the BIOPROS partners by taking into account status (IAG, SME, RTD) and sector.
